Welcome to the Entertainment Capital of Texas

Don’t sell yourself short when you stop by our Richardson hotel. Hyatt Regency North Dallas is just a stone’s throw from downtown because we want guests near local attractions without the rumble of car engines and noisy foot traffic. Treat yourself to local theme parks or take your kids to see the latest summer blockbuster. Museums are more than historical reiterations—they’re interactive exhibits. That means there’s something for everyone in our small and inviting community. Diverse entertainment options are just around the bend.

Amazing Amusement Parks

In the scorching summer months, let off some steam without overheating. Hawaiian Falls opened a Garland branch five miles from Hyatt Regency North Dallas that expands on the popular water theme park. Wade into a 16,000 sq. ft. wave pool, or let the current of the lazy river carry you across the park. Several slides and rides made their debut in recent years, and it’s our guests’ turn to do the same. Six Flags Over Texas is always a huge pull, despite the half hour drive downtown. But the short commute is well worth it for a few days of sheer drops and steep coasters.

Family-Friendly Fun

Bonding time works hand-in-hand with the box office. But a few hours here and there at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will only go so far with family and friends. Spread your wings and change the pace with a visit to the world-famous Dallas Zoo. Inspect 106 acres of exotic animals and plants at the largest and oldest zoological park in Texas. When your feet ache, loop around the exhibits by monorail. To see the local flora, visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Close to 70 acres on White Rock Lake are devoted to festivals and concerts with a natural backdrop.

Entertaining and Educational At the Same Time

NTX Event Center is renowned for its unique rooms, but what many locals don’t know is that this facility hosts tours every Saturday of classic, vintage vehicles. The purr of an engine isn’t new to Texan culture, so discover how westward expansion influenced our history in the Interurban Railway Museum. If gears and machines don’t interest you, travel back in time with the Heritage Farmstead Museum. Guests north of Dallas will find a special blend of new and old.
